The Logitech Streamcam is a very interesting and good webcam. On Logitech’s website there is extra information about the webcam, such as safety information but also about how to mount the streamcam. Security includes the update policy and Logitech is generally good at that. Logitech nowhere shows that in the specifications and besides that a support page with a datasheet is hard to find. We can’t say much about the energy efficiency. We therefore expect the Streamcam to last quite a long time. The Streamcam is made of hard white plastic and has a somewhat thick cable. However, the packaging is minimal, which we are happy with.
We couldn’t find any FSC labels on the packaging. We have no idea who does the design of these kind of documents and the website, but it looks really beautiful. They also published a sustainability report last year which is also very interesting and nice to look at. For example, all their factories run on 100% green electricity and 94% of their contracted (plastic) smelters are conflict-free. When it comes to sustainable ambitions, Logitech clearly indicates on their website what they’re doing for our blue friend.
